Usually the Crystal Ball trick is done on a smaller scale.
This set-up used a rather large TV and a big
inflatable toy ball (suspended from ceiling by a thread.)
The resulting image through the window is on the right.		      
                           
        
"Classroom Easy"
 

An alternative option, easier than laying the TV down,
is to simply place it to the side and put the plastic sheet diagonally facing the TV.

   
                       
       The only draw-back is that
people will see the TV.
Try to place it behind a wall
around a corner and make
sure people can’t get too
close and spoil the magic!

“Extras for Experts”
By far the most spell-binding set-up is to have the TV
above the diorama, facing down.

THIS IS THE MOST DIFFICULT SET-UP and may require
skills in building and a knowledge of how much weight
certain materials can hold. DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS
unless you have some experience in small scale construction.
 

  
                     
    The TV will need to be suspended above the diagonal plastic.
This can be done with brackets or, in the case below,
a small TV is resting upside down in a bookcase that has strong,
sturdy, glass shelves.		     
                    
 
The rigid plastic sheet faces upwards to reflect the above TV’s image
outwards. In this situation, you can set up a diorama that includes
an entire table-top seance set-up.Cover the top of the bookcase
(or whatever frame you are using)to hide the TV.
A simple cloth reminiscent of fortune-tellers is ideal.
  
                           
                      
      
Here we are using an electrical arc ball in the back of our
diorama. The electric arcs float through the ball and the
image for another level of magic. These balls can be purchased
at most novelty stores.
